Inpatient Care

• A 15-bed, family oriented hospital specializing in high quality acute and sub-acute care for infants, children and teens.
• Arizona’s first independent, free-standing children’s hospital. Locally owned and Operated.

• Twenty-four hour visitation for parents.
• Social services for community resources and discharge planning. Rehabilitative and respiratory therapies available.

• All services coordinated with primary care physicians.
• All RN, LPN and RT staffing with Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications. Many staff members have previous experience in PICU/NICU settings.

• Pediatric hospitalists available to follow the patient for the primary care physician.

Therapy Services

In December 2001, Los Niños Hospital recognized that the need for therapy services designed exclusively for infants, children and young adults had reached a critical level in our community. As we have done in the past, when essential health care needs of children are not being met, we looked for ways to provide a solution. In this case, the answer was clear and Los Niños Therapy Services was created. Drawing on our 35 years of experience in caring for the special needs of children, our newly established therapy services brings skills and a caring, personal touch to physical, occupational and speech therapy services. These services are provided both in the patient’s home, as well as at our hospital, our intermediate care facility and skilled nursing facility in Phoenix.

Los Niños Therapy Services provides a broad spectrum of physical, occupational and speech therapy services. Each therapist has completed rigorous academic and clinical preparation from an accredited professional school and has been licensed by the State of Arizona Board of Physical Therapy, Arizona Department of Health Services, or the State of Arizona Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners. Each individual brings a wealth of post-degree clinical experience in working with infants, children and young adults in a variety of settings, including inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as home health. We are constantly updating our skills to match advances in treatment science. We provide an integrated approach that brings together patient, family, doctor, nurse, therapist and other community resources. Specific therapy resources include evaluations, consultations, intervention program establishment and management, skilled hands-on care, adaptive equipment and family/caregiver training.

The goal of Los Niños Home Medical Services is to enable ventilator dependent individuals to function in society at the optimal level of their capabilities and potentials. This is achieved by combining the latest technology and the finest products with an unmatched dedication to customer service and satisfaction. We provide a wide range of products as well as expert education, training and on-going monitoring of equipment to ensure your safety and satisfaction.

We work with all insurance companies to provide for you and your family and can obtain all your medical equipment or supplies including nursing and respiratory supplies, formulas or incontinence products. Our expert respiratory products and services are available throughout the state of Arizona. Please allow us to fill your custom or hard-to-find equipment orders.

We are a registered member of the International Ventilator Users Network and the Southwest Ventilation Program based out of the University of Arizona.
